From March 15th to 17th, 2024, the Taekwondo events for both the Paris Olympics and Paralympics will take place with fervor at the Taishan International Convention and Exhibition Center in Taian, China. The 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics Taekwondo Asian Qualifiers are organized by the World Taekwondo Federation, with the Asian Taekwondo Union as the guiding body. The event is hosted by the Chinese Taekwondo Association, the Sports Bureau of Shandong Province, and the People's Government of Taian City. This is the highest-level international event ever hosted in Taian. Over 200 Taekwondo athletes from across Asia will converge in Taian to vie for their tickets to the Paris Olympics and Paralympics.
The Taishan International Convention and Exhibition Center boasts a unique design and elegant environment, seamlessly blending the grandeur of traditional culture with modern landscapes, making it a striking landmark in the city's CBD area. In July 2023, the National Taekwondo Championships (third station) was successfully held at the Taishan International Convention and Exhibition Center. The excellent venue conditions and comprehensive supporting services of the exhibition center received unanimous praise from the outside world, also accumulating valuable experience for the upcoming Taekwondo Asian Qualifiers for the Paris Olympics and Paralympics. Additionally, the team at the Taishan International Convention and Exhibition Center has rich experience in hosting events and has organized various self-operated events such as the Taishan International Marathon, Taishan International Tai Chi Tournament, and Taishan International Mountaineering Competition and Ten Thousand People Hiking Activity. It is reported that Hall A of the Taishan International Convention and Exhibition Center will serve as the main venue for the event, with a total area of 4800 square meters and a height of 19 meters.
